one to one
mentoring &
coaching
Stephen has successfully been mentoring and coaching senior managers and leaders for over 20 years, alongside designing and delivering leadership development programmes. He was fortunate to have benefitted from strong mentors throughout his career and understands their worth. He also has a reservoir of knowledge and practical experience dealing with multisite direct reports, senior executives, non executive directors and shareholders which is essential in providing real word advice.
Working with a mentor is a highly personal choice. For the relationship to be successful the mentor and mentee need to develop a rapport that allows the mentee to open up and really get to the heart of the areas they wish to work on. Using an external mentor provides the mentee with a safe space to reflect upon and develop their skills quickly. For the organisation it offers the opportunity to hothouse talent and accelerate learning with a practical application in the work place.
It is our experience that mentoring works best in a 1:2:1 environment and to be most successful should be sustained over a reasonable period of time. For this reason we only agree to mentor on a selective basis (both for Mentee and Mentor), and only work with a very limited number of mentees at any one time. All engagements commence with an initial consultation meeting before progressing.
What's involved:
-
Minimum commitment period of 4 months (subject to successful consultation meeting)
-
Initial goal setting - establishing exactly what you want to work on.
-
Half day meeting in-person per month working with you and/or working on your business with you
-
Weekly review of goal progress as required - (Mentee Accountable)
-
Tailored resources to support your development journey.
-
Access to your mentor's extensive commercial experience, knowledge and network
Mentoring uniquely allows organisations to accelerate the harvesting of talent outputs today, whilst cultivating seeds that will be readily harvested in the future.
